]]> Neil Ford von ThoughtWorks spricht in dieser Präsentation über Erfahrungen und Lessons Learned bei der Erstellung einer komplexen High Traffic Webseite mit Rails. Zuerst erzählt er, wie man überhaupt zu der Entscheidung kam Ruby on Rails zu verwenden, anschließend geht es hauptsächlich darum, wie man das Team so produktiv wie möglich hält. Z.b. werden Testläufe beschleunigten indem nicht auf die Datenbank zugreift. Mittels agilen Methoden versucht man die Wissensbasis möglichst auf alle Mitarbeiter zu verteilen und durch Rotation das “Ausbrennen” von Mitarbeitern zu verhindern.

Die Präsentation ist eine typische Neil Ford Präsentation: keine Überschwänglichkeiten und wenig Späße, dafür viel Information.
